My favorite Catholic Saint is Saint Maxmilian Kolbe.

I have visited his Shrine in Poland twice and have entered the cell in Auschwitz where he was martyred.

He would have become a Saint even if he did not give up his life to save another at Auschwitz.

He would have developed a worldwide evangelization effort like Mother Angelica if he had lived longer.

He founded the largest Franciscan community in the world near Warsaw, Poland. Saint Maxmilian Kolbe is my favorite Catholic Saint
